The Go Green Houston at H-E-B is a partnership with Abitibi-Consolidated, Keep Houston Beautiful, the City of Houston, and H-E-B.  Proceeds will benefit Keep Houston Beautiful's environmental education programs.  Click here for a list of drop-off locations.

• All metal beverage and food cans - steel and aluminum

• Please rinse all food from cans for sanitary reasons
• All plastic beverage and laundry detergent containers

• All plastic milk and water jugs (excluding the caps)

• All clear and colored plastic soft drink, juice and water bottles (excluding the caps)
• All detergent, bleach, cleaner and shampoo bottles

• Please empty contents of bottles

• All cooking oil, peanut butter and butter/margarine tubs

Any code 1 or code 2 plastic can be recycled

The code number can be found by looking at the number inside the chasing arrow recycling symbol, located on the bottom of the container

All plastics should be marked with a recycling code

Only code 1 and code 2 plastics can be recycled in the blue and green containers

• Newspaper
• Magazines
• Mail (shredded or unshredded)
  • Please place shredded paper in plastic bag to help contain it
  • Shopping catalogs
  • Office and School papers

Please do not include in any container:

• Cardboard
• Phone Books
