A $2,000 Great American Cleanup™ Grant from Waste Management was used to help the East Downtown Management District. Beyond the Walls Ministry and Lakewood Church provided volunteers to help cleanup this area. "They did a great job reclaiming sidewalks and curbs from years of neglect while also mowing, edging and general cleaning during Keep Houston Beautiful's "Clean America 2006" campaign for the East Downtown Management District and TIRZ 15 last Saturday 4/8/06," Jim Olive, Chairman, East Downtown Management District.
