Houston Beautiful and Mayor White to Honor Proud Partners
Port
of Houston Authority Receives This Year's Highest Award
[HOUSTON
, Texas ] - [November 2, 2005] - Keep Houston Beautiful and Mayor
Bill White will honor this year's Mayor's Proud Partners winners
in a luncheon at the Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel on November 21
st , 2005. The reception will begin at 11:30 and will follow with
the luncheon and awards program at noon .
The
Port of Houston Authority will be honored as this year's Outstanding
Proud Partner for their efforts to improve Houston area waterways.
Accepting the award will be Port of Houston Authority Chairman Jim
Edmonds .
"I
am very proud of the initiative demonstrated by each of this year's
winners to keep Houston beautiful," said Robin Blut Executive Director
of Keep Houston Beautiful.
The
event will showcase the River Oaks Garden Club members as the Beautification
award winners for the beautification of Bayou Bend Gardens . Keiji
Asakura, a talented landscape architect and president of Asakura
Robinson Company LLC will receive a distinguished service award
for his tireless efforts to beautify the community.
Individual
tickets are available for $100 - $500. Table sponsorships are available
for $1,500 - $25,000. Proceeds support neighborhood cleanups and
